Scope Creep usually comes from poorly defined expectations of work, bad management, or clients trying to eke out more from the project manager.
I want to cover a cousin of Scope Creep I’ve been seeing more and more over the past few years. I don’t know of any other term for it, so for the article's sake, I will call it Hype Creep.
